Back from the Dead

Okay! I’ve only been gone for a “little” bit and things have been going insane around here.
Well I’ll welcome Rua to this great partition of the internet of ours.
Its been a terrible time, first midterms, then essays, now exams with essays! But I have found some time between sleeping, and school work to talk…Talk dirty!

The past month or so have been hetic, but some of the days in between have been quite interesting. From being a drunk AS Roma player at halloween, not being drawn in to the Eye of terror becuase I am awesome, and watching “The Dancing Machine” (AKA Nana) bust a move. I can’t forget the other days in between which involved drinking, yelling, and doing other random things.

Anyways, I read the CBC article and thought it was a good idea, why? Not that the governemnt is just putting a “Band-Aid” on the situation, its because with the high school drop out rate at 30% in Ontario, which to me is quite high, they need to do something. With a good majority of the drivers young students (or drop-outs even), it is a good incentive to try and keep them in school. Yes, I agree with Nana that the government should set up more apprenticeships, co-op and other programs aimed at keeping students in school, but if Nana RTFA
then he would have noticed that the government was going to make sure that the High Schools across the province have programs in place to try and keep at risk students in school:

“Kennedy says the penalty will come into effect once schools establish a wider choice of courses and add more co-op and apprenticeship programs to keep at-risk students in school.”

Anyways, I think it is a good step towards keeping young students in school, ALSO it would reduce the number of drop outs who have trouble supporting themselves when they are out living on their own. Now if people are having trouble living out on their own, then they might end up on social assistance, which they usually do, so this could save the government some money keeping the kids in school, and off governemnt assistance.

Other Things

So another election, Joy! more BS from the backroom, but I damn well know who I am not voting for…Steven Harper. Give me tax cuts that don’t help me, that’ll make things much better.

I hate it when I’m talking to one of my professors, and when I am leaving, I want to say “Merry Christmas” but something in the back of my head says…maybe the person isn’t Christian, maybe they get offended by that. So one of two things happen, I either say Merry Christmas, walk away and panic, or the second, where I saw “Happy Holidays”, which makes me sound like a pompous politically correct person, who is chickenshit at not want to spread the Christmas Cheer. Damn these issues and damn other people for raising this issue, and making me waste brain power worrying about it…damn liberal media.

So, how about them Toronto Blue Jays, looks like Ted Rogers might actually make some money this year, blowing over 100 Million for 2 players, yeah awesome, all thats left for them is if they can make the playoffs.

yeah, I think I’ll be posting more, unless I say otherwise, there is alot of good stuff happening in the world, so I’ll be sure to talk about these issues. Yeah!
