Today I bought 3 records. Like those big vinyl records. I understand that it’s totally random and quite useless to me as I don’t even own a record player however I bought them because I’m learning how to DJ at school and I’m going to practice with them. I want to practice hardcore and become an awesome DJ. Once I am really good I am going to track down DJ McKay (The legendary DJ McKay if you Nicholson folk can remember) and battle him, even though he only DJ’d with CDs so he wasn’t even a real dj.
Continuing on with random things that I do in life, tonight I was exactly half of the University of Waterloo’s hottest team in town….the Waterloo Warriors Women’s Hockey team’s home game scorebox team. My buddy “Stumpy” does the announcements during the game and mans the scoreboard while I control the music and fill in the statsheet. The girls seem to like country so we made sure there was a good selection of country music and both Stumpy and I showed our support by wearing cowboy hats. We like to think we don’t just do a job, we deliver an experience. And oh did we ever deliver. I don’t even know if I’m getting paid but it doesn’t really matter because it feels good knowing we’re helping raise the profile of the women’s hockey game.
